Photographer; cat breeder. Born Marion (Maimie) Barnes, Atlanta, GA (date unknown). She was a photographer, poet, breeder and seller of Siamese cats, restaurateur and sales lady. She studied music in Germany, circa 1923. Married Guido Meisel, a German chemist, who was tried and convicted of commercial espionage in 1928.
